Gisborne has some of New Zealand’s best beaches, native bush walks not to mention some of the countries best vineyards. The region is New Zealand’s most easterly city hence the phrase Eastland which has emerged in recent years.

Property is not expensive in Gisborne and employment is easy to secure. The agricultural sector is strong in this area due to its viticulture and horticultural focus.  The motor industry employment tends to revolve around the farming and forestry and viticulture sectors.
