Luxury holiday in Rarotonga while supporting NZ Motor Industry owners

Back to News Hub

Many employees in the New Zealand motor industry deferred holidays to “hold the fort.” That leave has accumulated and now needs to be used.

Covid-19 has been a stressful time for us all. Whether you were busy or not, there were challenges for us all. Now we have moved into the new normal for a few months there is some light on the horizon that we may just be approaching the tail end of the global pandemic.

When choosing a holiday spot, supporting New Zealand business is top of mind for many of us. We head away on leave to the ski resort locations of Queenstown or other winter holiday spots in New Zealand. While we do not wish to underplay the importance of supporting all of New Zealand, let’s not forget New Zealanders own businesses in locations like Rarotonga; a country in free association with NZ that uses NZ currency.

Try supporting Kiwis while enjoying warmth, sunshine, clear blue skies, warm aqua blue water at a magnificent tropical resort.

The owners of Manuia Beach Resort are not only New Zealanders; they are prominent New Zealand motor industry professionals. This is not just any resort. It is Manuia Beach Resort, one of Rarotonga’s exclusive resorts.

Imagine having a business that had no customers for 14 months while the international and NZ borders were closed. The Vinsens had the decency to keep all their staff employed during this period. Those staff have were redeployed to refurbish the resort to maintain impeccable standards.

Is this the type of company that deserves your hard-earned holiday budget? Of course, they are! The Vinsens are legends for the support they provided their workers and family.

The four Vinsen Brothers, Richard, David, Mike, and Ian are known in New Zealand for their involvement in Mike Vinsen Suzuki and Mike Vinsen Motors for some 40 years. David Vinsen is Chief Executive Officer of the Vehicle Importers Association and former Chair of Intelligent Transports Systems NZ.

You can now travel to Rarotonga and back quarantine free:

This absolute beach front resort overlooks a sparkling azure blue lagoon:

Rest at the pool edge with clear blue skies in temperatures ranging from 25 to 30 degrees all year round and soak in the views across the beach, through the lagoon and onwards to the waves crashing on the barrier reef beyond. From mid-June (early July) onwards Hump backed whales visit Rarotonga and can be viewed breaching right in front of you outside the lagoon. This magnificent sight is complimented in the evenings by spectacular purple and red sunsets on the island.

No luxury resort is complete without an infinity pool, and this box is also ticked in a significant way.
