Wairarapa

Wairarapa District including Masterton

“Over the hill and a world away.”

With seal colonies, top-class wineries, remote native bush, a short distance from the Tararua mountains, luscious farmland and the famous Martinborough vineyards I am unsure why you would want to live here. The region is an adventure playground with climbing, mountaineering, surfing, ballooning, fishing both salt and freshwater, jet boating, 4WD tours and skydiving to name a few all featuring among activities.

The area has a charming combination of cafes, art galleries and a “time gone by” feel to it. Even give the expansive area Wairarapa covers, the population is 38,500 according to the 2001 Census. The largest town in the region is Masterton with a population of 18,070 and this is where the employment in the motor industry for this region is likely to be. The diesel agricultural sector often seeks skills in this region and a fortunate technician may be able to find work through us in one of the smaller workshops which cater to anything coming in the door from boats to tractors, diggers and a range of cars from vintage to late model.

Masterton is the largest city in the Wairarapa region of New Zealand. An hour north of New Zealand’s capital city Wellington, Masterton offers an escape from the hustle of bustle. As one of the earliest inland settlements, it also has lots of historical sites to discover.

We have occasional roles available in this region but advanced notice of your requirements is helpful.
