Taranaki

Taranaki district including New Plymouth, Stratford, Hawera

Population: 110,000

This area should not be overlooked it has an abundance of opportunity and in recent years was voted, “worlds best small city”

The cone of Mt Taranaki dominates New Plymouth and the region is a surfies, climbers and tramper’s paradise. Little known worldwide is that the film “the last Samurai” featuring Tom Cruise was filmed in this region due to the mountain's almost identical shape to Japan’s Mt Fuji. The mountain itself is accessible by road, trails and climbing with stunning views right down the coast. On a clear day from the peak of Mt Taranaki, you can see Auckland which is some 6 hours drive away.

New Plymouth has it all, an exceptional farming and agricultural industry, a booming oil-producing sector, manufacturing and much much more.  Taranaki even has its own National Park with spectacular multi-day walking options.

The Taranaki district is an adventure playground like no other with the city of New Plymouth blessed with all the commodities of a modern vibrant small city in growth mode.   Do not miss it!

The region has some large dealerships both in the light automotive and heavy diesel sectors.  The full range of roles is on offer with the exception of distributor roles.
