Role summary
This role is squarely focused on heavy diesel truck maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs and is well suited to an experienced truck mechanic.
You will be responsible for maintaining fleet reliability through high-level mechanical work, structured fault-finding, and adherence to strict OEM repair standards.
The focus is on keeping trucks on the road, reducing downtime, and delivering first-time-fix outcomes in a professional franchise environment.

Core responsibilities:
- Carrying out servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance on heavy commercial trucks
- Performing advanced diagnostics using OEM diagnostic platforms to accurately identify faults
- Completing major mechanical repairs alongside routine heavy diesel servicing tasks
- Working closely with Service Managers and senior technical staff to resolve complex truck-related issues
- Escalating and managing technical repairs where required, including specialist or outwork solutions
Compensation and professional development

Role requirements
- Relevant automotive trade qualification, ideally as a trade-qualified Diesel Mechanic
- Proven hands-on experience servicing and repairing heavy commercial trucks Strong mechanical capability across engines, drivetrains, braking systems, and chassis components
- Demonstrated diagnostic and systematic fault-finding skills on heavy diesel vehicles
- Auto electrical and hydraulic experience is advantageous but not essential, with training available
- Applications welcomed from technicians with either strong diagnostic specialisation or broad mechanical expertise across heavy diesel repairs
