Automotive Employment NZ is New Zealand’s most established motor industry recruitment company and a division of our parent company JOBCORP NZ Ltd. JOBCORP NZ also owns Property Employment NZ. JOBCORP have a growing presence in property employment, a fledgling technology company, and wider interests outside our main group in the home services sector.
We have our own in-house immigration division and our own Employment Relations Adviser. We are small but diverse.
Our Director first started a motor industry recruitment company in 1991 and has continuously provided these specialist services ever since ultimately expanding our base into the areas aforementioned in later years. Our Consultancy Manager was awarded Sales Manager of the year five times in metro dealerships in the brand she represented.
The company enjoys low staff turnover, and relationships and harmony within the team are characteristic of our support for one another.

The role of recruitment executive
A recruitment role at our company requires you to communicate with a large range of employers and employees nationally. Our job is to attract and select the very best employees for our employer clients. Success is determined by us achieving a noticeable competitive advantage for our clients in terms of the quality of the people we supply.
This role is all about communication, building relationships, and forging respect. We have strategic resources to attract the best skills available right throughout NZ. With New Zealand’s largest database of motor industry candidates and the technology and engagement tools to leverage the database, this resource is proving valuable to employers throughout New Zealand with borders now closed.
In the property employment sector our presence is growing through our project managed assignments which often act as an extension of the employer's HR function.
The effective consultant can identify priority candidates and then work with both the candidate and client to facilitate a hiring appointment. Quick action, the ability to think on your feet quickly, and efficiency in processing electronic documentation are all strengths for a top consultant. In the executive end of the market the consultant project manages the assignment.
You will be involved in interviewing, client development, psychometric assessments, as well as general and structured key appointment recruitment - throughout New Zealand and even internationally. Full training is provided as is superior administrative assistance.
The skills needed to secure this role
A property or automotive or recruitment background is sought for this role i.e. motor industry management, operations, F&I, or fleet either in the retail or national distributor sectors. Automotive passenger, commercial or heavy equipment backgrounds are all of consideration. So too are property management, business development, or property operations backgrounds.
You do not need a recruitment background but we are interested in talking to recruiters who work in allied industries as well as those with motor industry experience.
Our team is known for its bright vibrant energy so we are of course looking for someone who is also bright, energetic, and vibrant. High standards of communication skills both verbally and electronically are essential. Top notch corporate presentation is a prerequisite.
The ability to work with focus and, at times, intensity is required. Combining superior relationship building skills with efficiency are also core hiring criteria. So too is your in-depth knowledge and understanding of motor industry operations.

Rewards
High income: Remuneration is targeted at providing a six-figure income between. A solid base salary including generous profit share on your personal placements will provide stable and attractive earnings. The role which will take commitment, personal drive, and sound reasoning and decision-making abilities.
5 day working week: This is a rare 5-day, 40 hour working week. We do not work weekends, nor do we work any public holiday. If you have children, this is a child AND family friendly role.
