Are you a skilled professional with a passion for automobiles and a knack for enhancing their performance and functionality? We are currently seeking an experienced Pre Delivery Technician / Accessory Fitter to join this multifranchise dealership in Queensland.

As a PD Technician / Accessory Fitter, you will play a crucial role in transforming vehicles by installing a wide range of accessories and performing precision fitments.

Responsibilities

• Install various automotive accessories, including but not limited to audio systems, multimedia units, lighting enhancements, alarms, security systems, tow bars, roof racks, and other custom modifications
• Conduct pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) on new vehicles ensuring they meet quality standards and all installed accessories are functioning correctly
• Interpret and follow technical instructions, wiring diagrams, and installation manuals to perform accurate and precise fitments
• Collaborate with the sales team, providing product knowledge and technical expertise to assist customers in selecting suitable accessories
• Ensure the accuracy of accessory inventory, including tracking and reporting any shortages or damages
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to accessory installations, providing effective solutions to ensure customer satisfaction
• Adhere to industry best practices, safety guidelines, and manufacturer specifications while working on vehicles
• Keep up-to-date with advancements in automotive technology and accessory trends
• Provide excellent customer service
• Installing everything from acrylic bonnet protectors, bull bars, snorkels, electronic brake controllers and other electrical items
• Ensure fitments are done accurately, efficiently, with minimal-to-no return work

Skills we seek

• Proven experience as a Pre Delivery Technician / Accessory Fitter, with a strong portfolio of successfully completed installations
• In-depth knowledge of automotive accessories, their installation procedures, and compatibility with various vehicle models
• Familiarity with electrical systems, wiring harnesses, and related components
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools required for fitment, as well as diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure precise fitments and resolve any installation challenges
• Strong organizational and time management abilities to meet deadlines and prioritize work effectively
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team
• Positive attitude and a will to work well with others
• Provide leadership and advice to junior workshop staff
• Ensure adherence to workshop safety and environmental policy
• Strong work ethic and time management
