This business has been in the industry for more than 2 decades and represents well know brands in the marine sector.
Due to growth, they are wanting to employ an additional Marine Installation/Rigging Technician.
The role
You will fulfil a range of duties on a variety of brands including, but not limited to, Yamaha, Brig, Buccaneer, and Southern Boats.
Duties will include:
Requirements
You will need to have good electrical and mechanical abilities and be keen to keep developing these skills.
What is very important is attitude, work ethic, the ability to work in a team, and a high level of attention to detail.
You will also need to have a clean, current drivers licence as well as clear verbal and written communication skills.
Prior experience on boats is highly sought after, though consideration will be given to those with solid mechanical/electrical skills, experience on other equipment, and a passion for learning.
Flexibility to take on additional duties as and when required is also key.

The role
You will fulfil a range of duties on a variety of brands including, but not limited to, Yamaha, Brig, Buccaneer, and Southern Boats.
Duties will include:
- Installation, testing, and repair of marine electrical systems and electronics, as well as the installation and testing of fresh water and sanitary systems
- Installation of outboard and inboard engines/drives
- Mechanical servicing, repairs, and diagnostics as and when required to assist the workshop team (training will be provided)
- Working alongside other departments/contractors in order to ensure work on new and used boats is completed on time
- Minor gel coat and aesthetic repairs
- Assisting in moving boats within the yard and between contractors, clients, and ramp facilities
- When required to support the sales and workshop teams, assisting in the demonstration/sea test of newly rigged/repowered boats
- Adhering to and exceeding Health and Safety requirements by maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment
