The employer
A leader in the design and manufacture of heavy transport trailers with decades of proven performance, the work spans a wide range of innovative builds. Every project is a custom challenge - and their reputation is built on delivering smart, robust solutions that go the distance.

The role
We're on the hunt for an experienced Auto Electrician to join a tight-knit, high-performing workshop team. The role is hands-on, varied, and ideal for someone who enjoys working on custom builds and integrating electrical systems into large, complex vehicles and equipment.

You'll be responsible for wiring, fault-finding, and installing everything from lighting systems to braking controls, steering electronics, and onboard diagnostics - all within a specialised heavy transport environment where no two builds are ever the same.

Duties will include:

  • Wiring and installing 12V/24V systems on heavy-duty trailers, modules, and custom transport rigs
  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults - lighting, brakes (ABS/EBS), sensors, relays, etc.
  • Reading schematics and wiring diagrams to carry out clean, precise installs
  • Integrating modern electronic features like steering controls, load sensors, and safety systems
  • Working alongside mechanical, hydraulic, and fabrication teams to complete full builds
  • Ensuring all work meets quality, safety, and compliance standards

What we're looking for

  • Qualified and experienced auto electrician with a heavy vehicle and heavy machinery background
  • Strong understanding of trailer/truck electrical systems and fault diagnostics
  • Familiar with ABS/EBS braking systems, CAN-bus, relays, and load control units
  • Good attention to detail and pride in tidy, reliable installs
  • A proactive approach - someone who can work independently and solve problems on the floor
  • Clean drivers licence/s - a Class 2 licence is a bonus (but not essential)

What's on offer

  • Secure, full-time position in a well-established business with a strong reputation
  • Variety and challenge
  • Work with a passionate team and high-end tools in a modern, well-equipped workshop
  • Opportunities to grow your skills in areas like electronic steering and integrated load systems
  • Competitive pay and a team culture built on quality, safety, and innovation
