The role
This role is based in Hamilton and involves servicing and repairing forklifts, reach trucks, and other materials handling equipment both in the field and within a well-equipped workshop environment.
You will work autonomously while also being part of a supportive and experienced team.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Diagnose faults and carry out servicing and repairs on forklifts and materials handling equipment
- Conduct preventative maintenance and safety inspections
- Travel to customer sites for breakdowns and field service work
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain strong client relationships
- Work efficiently to meet productivity and quality standards
- Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times
Skills sought by the employer
- Relevant automotive trade qualification
- Previous experience working on forklifts or similar heavy machinery
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Positive attitude and ability to contribute within a team environment
- Full driver's licence required
