The role
This role is based in Hamilton and involves servicing and repairing forklifts, reach trucks, and other materials handling equipment both in the field and within a well-equipped workshop environment.
 
You will work autonomously while also being part of a supportive and experienced team.
 
Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Diagnose faults and carry out servicing and repairs on forklifts and materials handling equipment
• Conduct preventative maintenance and safety inspections
• Travel to customer sites for breakdowns and field service work
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain strong client relationships
• Work efficiently to meet productivity and quality standards
• Ensure health and safety procedures are followed at all times

 
Skills sought by the employer

• Relevant automotive trade qualification
• Previous experience working on forklifts or similar heavy machinery
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Positive attitude and ability to contribute within a team environment
• Full driver's licence required
