About the employer
Known as one of New Zealand’s larger automotive groups representing a collection of business interests across New Zealand, this large corporate group is renowned for ethical trading practices and has both the scope of operations and reputation to appeal to Automotive F&I sales professionals across New Zealand.
A role with a difference
This role could be based in a variety of either lower North Island or South Island locations as far down as Christchurch.
We also have listed the North Island equivalent role which could be based in a variety of locations north of Tauranga.
The Finance and Insurance Development Manager acts as an internal sales expert, mentor, and coach to other finance and insurance sales staff.
The role is responsible for mentoring, coaching, training, and supporting Business Managers.
You will have reporting relationships to Dealer Principals, dealership Business Managers, administrative and marketing professionals, and the senior leadership team.
There is a content of overnight, out of town travel on weekdays which includes some extended periods.
The skills we would like you to possess
This is a senior finance and insurance role and consequently you will need some 5 to 7 years of experience as a retail automotive finance and insurance professional. This is the level of experience thought to be needed to have accumulated the depth of knowledge across the retail finance and insurance sector that will find you being able to train and mentor others. We are however open to receive all applications for F&I professionals who feel they can step up to this role.
Strong commercial acumen is essential and includes the ability to budget, network, lead, and deliver training to F&I staff. Your communication skills both written and verbal need to be clear and concise; so too your computer literacy across Microsoft platforms with general DMS knowledge as it pertains to most franchise dealerships.
What is on offer
The high base salary reflects the seniority of the role with an OTE in the middle to upper $100k bracket. A company car will be provided and the role will include travel, ongoing upskilling, and involvement with industry executives across NZ.
This is a large company with plenty of scope for further career enhancement.
