The opportunity

This role suits a skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic who takes pride in maintaining high standards of safety, reliability, and customer service while working on commercial truck fleets.

Key responsibilities 
  • Diagnose, service, and repair diesel engines and heavy-duty truck systems
  • Maintain and repair electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Carry out engine, brake, steering, COF, and accident repairs
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately identify faults and implement solutions
  • Work closely with service advisors and team members to deliver efficient turnaround times
 
Skills and experience sought 
  • Relevant automotive trade qualification, preferably as a Diesel Mechanic
  • Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, ideally within a dealership or similar environment
  • Experience working on late-model trucks
  • Strong diagnostic, fault-finding, and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and sound mechanical knowledge
  • Proficiency with modern diagnostic tools and technology
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong understanding of diesel engines and truck systems (brakes, hydraulics, electrical, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-demand, service-driven environment
