Responsibilities
- Servicing and maintenance of a wide range of heavy commercial trucks
- Carrying out major and minor repairs, including COF and accident repairs
- Diagnosing and repairing faults using modern electronic diagnostic systems
- Workshop-based work with attendance at breakdowns and call-outs when required
Skills sought
- Recognised automotive trade qualification, ideally as a Diesel Mechanic
- Experience working on late-model heavy trucks
- Strong technical and mechanical capability
- Confident use of electronic diagnostic equipment
- Proven fault-finding skills
- Clear communication and professional customer interaction
- Ability to carry out modifications and adaptations where required
- Understanding of the time pressures within the transport industry and a commitment to getting customers back on the road efficiently
