The role
You'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of materials handling equipment, both in the workshop and out in the field.
Your duties will include:
- General servicing and maintenance of EWPs and forklifts
- Diagnostic work using the latest equipment
- Field service repairs and call-outs
- Preventative maintenance
- Minor and major repairs
- Attending breakdowns efficiently and professionally
- Completing paperwork accurately and on time
- Liaising directly with clients to ensure high service standards
Skills and experience we're looking for
- Trade qualification as a mechanic
- Proven post-apprenticeship experience on access equipment/EWPs and/or LPG forklifts or materials handling equipment
- Strong diagnostic capability
- Ability to complete major repairs
- Experience with construction equipment (advantageous)
- Confidence working largely unsupervised on a range of equipment
- Strong customer service focus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Efficient, accurate, and well-organised work habits
- A team-oriented attitude
- Working at Heights licence (preferred but not essential)
