Role summary
We're looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join an established aftermarket workshop that specializes in servicing and repairing American and European heavy trucks. In this hands-on role, you'll carry out diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of makes and models, with a focus on performance, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Core responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and mechanical repairs on American and European trucks
  • Carry out engine rebuilds, brake and suspension work, electrical fault-finding, and hydraulic repairs
  • Operate diagnostic scan tools and interpret fault codes and technical data and the ability to repair accordingly

Role requirements

  • Relevant automotive qualification - preferably as a qualified Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Auto Electrician
  • Hands-on experience with brands such as Freightliner, Kenworth, Western Star, Scania, Volvo, DAF, Mercedes-Benz, or MAN - a range of brand experience will be considered
  • Strong diagnostics and electrical skills and the ability to operate diagnostic scan tools and interpret fault codes and technical data
  • While not essential, auto electrical and hydraulic skills would also be advantageous but ongoing training is available
  • Excellent attention to detail and ensure high levels of safety, workmanship and efficiency are maintained
