Key duties and responsibilities:
As a vital member of the workshop, your duties will be varied and hands-on, requiring a high level of skill and attention to detail.
1. Coach building and panel beating:
- Perform body repairs, metal finishing, and repairs on campervan bodies, including aluminium panel repairs, repairs to metal components such as steps and accessories
- Carry out minor collision repairs to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition
- Fabricate, fit, and repair structural and cosmetic body parts
- Execute preparation work including filling, sanding, and masking for painting
- Ensure all work meets our high standards of quality, safety, and waterproof integrity
- Basic repairs and refit of internal cabinetry specific to campervan layouts will require good general practical skills more common with coach building duties.
- Install and repair internal linings, insulation, and trim components
- Work with a variety of materials including plywood, ABS plastics, composites, and upholstery
- Fit and repair windows, hatches, doors, and associated seals
- Accurately complete job cards and documentation
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Work collaboratively with the team on larger projects and contribute to a positive workshop culture
What we're looking for
- A proven trade qualification as a Panel Beater, Coach Builder, or relevant and equivalent experience
- Experience working with light commercial vehicles, caravans, motorhomes, or boats is highly advantageous
- A strong understanding of vehicle construction and repair techniques
- Competency in cabinetry, joinery, or interior fitting is a significant advantage
- A meticulous eye for detail and quality standards
- Reliable, honest, and a strong team player with a positive can-do attitude
