This is a rare opportunity for a highly skilled technician who is a performance / motorsport enthusiast to join a top performance shop in Auckland.
The client
Our client has been around for over 20 years and are front runners in the performance industry and have just recently moved into a new, professional facility. Loud noise, engines roaring, and a fun team spirit is what you can look forward to when you join this workshop.
The team pride themselves on the best quality as well as being the best of the best tuners and technicians within the industry. Should you have a performance background, be an experienced mechanic, and an absolute motorsport fanatic then we want to hear from you.
The role
You will enjoy a variety of duties in your day working on a large range of vehicles including classic American muscle cars, late model Japanese cars, as well as late model european vehicles.

The ideal candidate will be a trade qualified technician with extensive performance vehicle experience but non-qualified applicants who possess extensive experience will also be considered for this role.

In return
An excellent hourly rate is on offer for high end skills. You will work Monday to Friday - weekend work is available when you want it. You may sometimes be required to attend events so a genuine interest in the performance / motorsport world is highly essential to this role.

The role

- Race, rally, and drag car preparation
- Attending track days
- Servicing, maintenance, and set-up
- Repair work including engine and transmission rebuilds
- Modifications
- Upgrades
- Basic electrical work
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be a trade qualified technician with extensive performance vehicle experience but non-qualified applicants who possess extensive experience will also be considered for this role.
The successful applicant will have the following skills, experience, and attributes:
- Highly experienced technician with exposure to performance / motorsport vehicles
- Extensive knowledge of Japanese performance vehicles and late model European vehicles
- A trade qualified technician is highly sought after
- Basic electrical knowledge
- Engine management system knowledge preferred
- Ability to work as a team player
- Able to multitask and work well under pressure
- Sound work ethic
- Solid communication skills
- Attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Prior restoration experience is highly advantageous
In return
