The opportunity
A respected, high-performing multi-brand automotive dealership in the Queenstown region is seeking an experienced Senior Automotive Technician to join its professional and well-resourced workshop.
 
This is a senior, hands-on role where your diagnostic expertise, leadership capability, and commitment to quality will be truly valued.
 
About the role
You'll play a key role in the workshop, delivering high-level diagnostics, servicing, and repairs across a range of premium new vehicles, while supporting and mentoring the wider technical team.
 
This role suits a technician who takes pride in precision, thrives in a dealership environment, and enjoys setting the standard for others.
 
 
Key responsibilities

• Carry out advanced diagnostics, servicing, and repair work across premium vehicle brands
• Complete detailed vehicle inspections and provide accurate repair recommendations
• Work in line with manufacturer specifications, service procedures, and safety standards
• Communicate clearly with Service Advisors regarding job progress and technical findings
• Mentor and support junior technicians and apprentices
• Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workshop environment
• Ensure all job cards and documentation are completed accurately and on time
• Stay up to date with evolving automotive technologies and manufacturer training

 
About you

• Relevant automotive trade qualification
• Proven experience as a Senior or Master Technician in a modern dealership environment
• Strong diagnostic and electrical fault-finding capability
• Confident using manufacturer-specific diagnostic tools and software
• Current full driver's licence
• High standards of workmanship with a strong team-first attitude
• Professional communication skills and customer-focused mindset
