We are looking for a trade qualified and experienced technician who would be interested in living and working in Central Otago.
The company
This rural based workshop and adjoining service station provide servicing and repairs on a wide variety of equipment including light passenger and light commercial vehicles, as well as trucks, agricultural equipment, motorbikes, and small engines.
The workshop is well appointed and offer a friendly family team.
The role
The successful applicant will be required to work on the range of vehicles and equipment mentioned above.
Duties will include:
- General maintenance and servicing
- Diagnostics
- Minor and major repairs
- Workshop based as well as field service duties
Requirements
While further training will be provided for the wider variety of equipment that comes into the workshop including trucks, agricultural and small engine equipment, it would be an advantage if applicants have already gained exposure across a broad range of vehicles and equipment.
The following skills, experience, and qualities are required:
- Trade qualified light automotive/diesel technician
- Previous experienced on light passenger cars and light commercial vehicles is essential
- Experience on trucks, agricultural equipment, and small engines is an advantage but not essential
- Good all round mechanical servicing and repair ability
- Diagnostics capability
- Not afraid to put your hand to anything
- Able to work without supervision
- Good communication skills
- Happy to live and work in a rural community
- A team player, flexible, and willing to learn

Wage rates are market related and will be based on skills and experience.
The workshop is kitted with the latest diagnostic equipment, and further training is also on offer.
