We are seeking an experienced Automotive Technician with Master Technician brand training to join a respected franchise dealership in Whangārei. The role offers a professional, well-supported environment with a strong focus on quality workmanship, teamwork, and exceptional customer service.

  • This is a permanent, full-time role with a minimum of 40 hours per week

The role
  • As a qualified technician, you will be performing scheduled servicing, routine maintenance, diagnostics and fault finding, as well as minor and major repairs on passenger cars
  • With your advanced brand training and diagnostics skills, you will be using advanced diagnostic tools and technical resources to find and resolve faults
  • Collaborate with the wider service team to efficiently resolve technical issues and challenges
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date service documentation, including all work completed and parts used
 
Role requirements
  • A recognised automotive trade qualification is essential
  • Proven post-apprenticeship experience working on passenger vehicles within a dealership environment
  • Advanced franchise brand training to Master Technician level on Asian vehicle brands is required (e.g. Mitsubishi or Mazda)
  • Strong diagnostic capability with solid mechanical and electrical repair skills
  • Ability to work autonomously while consistently meeting workshop deadlines
  • Clear communication skills and a strong focus on delivering excellent customer service
  • A genuine commitment to ongoing professional development and keeping up with new automotive technologies
  • Auto electrical repair experience and a current WOF licence are highly sought after
