Our client is an aftermarket repairer of mags and wheels, and also offer aftermarket products and engine cleaning services.
They are looking to fill their Admin Assistant vacancy due to maternity leave. However, because they are a busy and growing company, they do wish to have a second admin person in the team so there is the possibility for a permanent role.
The role and the skills required
You will be fulfilling general office and admin duties including accounts, invoicing, and managing the workshop schedule. You will also be involved in ensuring that H&S regulations are adhered to. As such sound overall computer literacy and numerical skills as well as a high attention to detail are all required.
Due to the nature of the role, it is important that you have prior, relevant admin and accounts experience in the motor industry, whether it be in franchise or aftermarket operations, including with Xero.
Since you will be handling customer enquiries and working in a tight knit team, you should have good communication and customer service skills, and be a team player.
The role will also involve occasionally delivering/picking up customer vehicles so you will need a current full NZ drivers licence, a positive attitude and work ethic, and be willing to chip in where required.
Those with service/warranty admin or parts experience and/or those who may want to make the move out of franchise would be most suited to this position.

There is the opportunity for the role to be a fixed term role for approximately 6 months or, alternatively, for a full time, permanent role.
