Situated in the heart of the Southern Alps, the Mount Cook region is spectacular. Activities include five day 4x4 safaris, Kayaking, snow skiing, Heli-Sking mountain climbing, tramping, salmon and trout fishing, sight seeing, flight seeing, boating, horse trekking, nature experiences, farm stays, sheep station visits, mountain biking, 4x4 bike tours to name only a few. Every corner you turn is another vision if breathtaking beauty.

Such is the beauty of this region that many talk of the experience as revitalizing; it is beyond comparison and a jewel in New Zealand's crown. To even think about work in this region would be difficult, but for the very few who successfully achieve this, work can be found in the adventure tourism sector that occasionally have the need for a diesel mechanic and even more rarely for an automotive technician who secures employment in one of the local garages. For most however securing employment in this region is a dream that could only become a reality after living in NZ for some years and building your own personal contacts.
