Tuesday 21st of November. Reference from Expo
candidate who we have placed and previously referred to on the 15th
of November:
We met with the consultants of Automotive Employment
NZ Ltd at The London Opportunities New Zealand Expo in Earls Court.
Automotive Employment NZ Ltd assured us there was
a range of jobs available and initially we were skeptical, but the
company kept assuring us there was no need to organise interviews
in advance. After receiving yet another email assuring me that the
vacancies would be available through Automotive Employment NZ here,
we decided to place our trust in our consultant Toni Vermeulen and
Russell Phillips who we had met at the Expo instead of another firm
that claimed to have prearranged interviews
For my first stay in New Zealand, we stayed at the
Academy Motor Lodge that the company organised for us and it was
delightful. I met with Toni Vermeulen only 2kms away from our accommodation
the next day. The company immediately organised the first series
of interviews within 1 hour of arriving for my meeting with them.
Seven interviews were organised!! first in Auckland, then Hamilton
on the same day as my meeting with Toni and I attained offers of
employment with in both interviews. The next day I had interviews
in Taupo, and Rotarua and the following day Hawkes Bay. From here
it was back to Hamilton and Auckland.
The first 2 job offers were received on the same day
as our meeting with Toni and we ended up with a job offer from not
6 companies but 7 as another interview was organised by Toni in
Hamilton. This was all achieved in the different regions outlined
within 5 days. We have signed contracts and Russell is now processing
our immigration papers as promised.
Do we recommend Automotive Employment NZ? Definitely!!
They are professional, friendly, efficient and they deliver!!

Monday December 11. Please note: New Zealand
is currently experiencing email problems with lost and delayed emails.
These problems are due to the major ISP providers [primarily Xtra
and Ihug] becoming inundated with share market investment spam which
is encrypted and unable to be picked up by the normal filters. While
Automotive Employment NZ has moved to resolve this problem, it is
possible some emails may have gone astray during the last 7 days.
If you are waiting for a reply or have not received communication
please pick up the phone and let us know 0064 9 271 3200. If you
are unable to phone please resend your message.
December 15. Electronic Christmas cards and
messages sent to all attendees of the expo advising of the holiday
dates of each consultant representing each candidate.
December 24. Automotive Employment NZ takes
a short summer break.
December 25. Merry Christmas all.
January 1, 2007. Happy New Year.
January 15, 2007. All staff have now returned
from holidays, contact with all candidates reestablished with consultants
in some cases sending pictures of typical “Kiwi” holiday to candidates.
January 17, 2007. An additional five placements
made from Expo today. Three of these were in NZ.
March 15, 2007. 33 applicants
have now been placed as a direct result of the Opportunities NZ
Expo. Automotive Employment NZ ltd has placed candidates from Keri
Keri in the North to Invercargill in the South and virtually everywhere
in between
22nd May, 2007. Candidates from the expo have
continued to remain in contact with Automotive Employment NZ and
several have arrived in May. Presently we have some 7 candidates
who have attended the expo touring New Zealand.
31st August, 2007. By popular request
Automotive Employment NZ has taken the concept of organising employment
tours for candidates entering NZ. We have ensured we have vacancies
in every area of the country and have visited virtually all major
dealerships and distributors in the North and South Island of NZ.
The result is a staggering 75 additional nationwide vacancies in
virtually every sector of the NZ motor industry. These tours are
organsied free of charge other than the normal cost of accommodation
which is an expense you would ordinarily incur in any event. The
success of the tours is self evident by visiting the testimonials
page.
December 4, 2007. Automotive Employment NZ
is nearing the peak period of the New Zealand recruitment calendar
and has now been processing applicants for some 14 months for the
expo. If you have not updated Automotive Employment NZ about your
pending relocation to New Zealand, now is the time to do so. Automotive
Employment NZ will contact all remaining candidates from the 2006
expo over the next three weeks although would obviously appreciate
any proactive responses. The end of January 2008 to the end of March
2008 is forecast to be a boom period for job seekers in NZ so if
you havent already planned your trip to New Zealand then start
thinking as this could be a good time. As an added bonus it is also
summer here and likely to be warm and dry.
