first city in the world to see the sun each day
Gisborne is has a population of 43,971 according
to the 2001 census and some of New Zealand's best beaches, native
bush walks not to mention some of the countries best vineyards.
The region is New Zealand's most easterly city hence the phrase
Eastland which has emerged in recent years.
Property
is not expensive in Gisborne but employment can be a little more
difficult to gain. The agricultural sector however is reasonably
strong in this area due to its horticultural focus and motor industry
employment tends to revolve around the farming and forestry sectors.
Roles for parts personnel and sales people however may prove difficult
to secure.
The climate is excellent with Gisborne enjoying some
of the highest sunshine hours in NZ with warm summers and mild winters.
